Users create new Croportal homepage

Croatian interactive portal www.croportal.net presented its new homepage today, shaped mostly by the needs, suggestions and critcs of everyday Croportal users who revealed their opinions gathered in various test groups.

New, improved homepage presented two significant changes – inteligent, innovative solution for selecting most relevant news published on Croatian web and simplified interface which brings more news from official media partners.

Redesign was considered necessary by analysing users behaviour on Croportal pages, but the biggest challenge was large volume of news almost constantly arriving from media partners. Those two problems were the main motivation for developing an inteligent solution for selecting most relevant news published on web space in Croatia.

New, redesigned Croportal allows category selections and a special part which presents only most current and relevant news.

Croportal users took the final decision in creating new homepage, mainly because they are using numerous services which Croportal provides. After designing new Croportal homepage, production team organised test groups for users with different news search habits and they shared their suggestions which were considered while creating the final Croportal homepage.

New Croportal homepage presents simplified and more dynamic format for news reading, but also motivates users to interact by rating and commenting on news.
